Are there any discounts available for those who cannot afford in home euthanasia?
Although we cannot give discounts to everyone, we do offer discounts to the following people upon request:
Making a Difference Program:
Dr. Holt often times receives more than the she asks for (usually due to lack of exact change) and sometimes people will give Dr. Holt a “tip”. Although we do not ask for tips, we have some very generous clients who want to show their appreciation for her work. Dr. Holt wanted to figure out a way to use that extra money to give back to the community. And what better way than creating the Making A Difference Fund. We know that in-home euthanasia is more expensive than bringing your pet to a veterinary hospital for euthanasia due to additional costs and extra time spent between travel and spending more time with pet owners. Dr. Holt uses the tips and change to help those in need pay for the in-home euthanasia experience.
How does the Making a Difference Fund work?
For every dollar that is overpaid to Dr. Holt, that money goes towards helping someone who cannot afford in-home euthanasia. The cost for in-home euthanasia is $325 so when we reach that goal, we can help one family pay for an in-home euthanasia. This does not include the cost for cremation services.
Although we try to help as many people as possible, we can only help a few people each year depending on the amount of money that has been donated towards the Making A Difference Fund.
How do I qualify for the Making a Difference Fund?
In order to qualify for the Making A Difference Fund you must fit one of the following criteria: (please understand that even though you may fit one of these criteria, we cannot help everyone.
